Project Delivery Manager, Charlene Wheeler for Morrison Telecom Services (MTS), Scotland, has successfully completed the Overhead Safety Training Course provided by Tetra Consulting Training Academy.
Delivered by the MTS in-house training team, the course was led by our Training and Accreditation Manager, Michael Cole.
The course consisted of two parts, theory and practical with a test at the end.
Charlene said: “Part of my role as a Project Manager is to carry out site inspections to ensure the operatives are compliant and working safely when conducting inspections on site. It was very beneficial to attend the course. It gave me a better understanding of assessing potential health and safety risks.
“The most challenging and exciting part was climbing the ladder and onto the utility pole. I am very proud for pushing myself to complete this successfully. The adrenaline rush I felt when I finally made it to the top was amazing.
“Being primarily office-based, it gave me a greater insight of best practise and my respect for our people has grown significantly.
“I am very grateful to Morrison Telecom Services for providing the opportunity. I recommend others to try this and climb the utility pole.”
